DAILY IMMERSION IN THE PROPHETIC WORD Tuesday | Msg. 24 – Abraham Rescues Lot with Three Hundred and Eighteen Men Born in His House

1. Lot did not have the same heart, purity, or faith as his uncle Abraham. He still sought his own interests, especially regarding Earthly possessions. Thus, we see two men walking together, but with different visions and purposes. Abraham soon realized he had made a mistake in taking Lot with him and proposed that they separate (Genesis 13:1-13).

2. Lot chose the well-watered plain, preferring a more comfortable life. Gradually, he approached a city whose men were wicked and great sinners against the Lord. The consequences of his choice were tragic: he lost his wife, who was turned into a pillar of salt, and he had descendants through his own daughters—a lamentable situation (Genesis 13:8-13).

3. Today, God also presents us with choices: blessing or curse. What has been your choice? When Lot separated from Abraham, the Lord revealed His heart to Abraham (Genesis 13:14-15).

4. “In the spiritual realm, Christ is the rising Sun of heaven, and His desire is to rule over all the Earth. To do this, He needs servants who will respond to His calling without self-interest, as Abraham did. He also needs servants like Stephen, filled with the Holy Spirit and willing to do anything to serve Him (Acts 6:5a) (Daily Food, book 1, week 2, Tuesday, p. 24).
