DAILY IMMERSION IN THE PROPHETIC WORD Friday | Msg. 24 – Abraham Rescues Lot with Three Hundred and Eighteen Men Born in His House

1. God asks us to lift up our eyes. We must not look only at our needs or where we live, but at the land He has promised to give us. Lift up your eyes! Don’t stand still, don’t remain complacent. Let’s get up and walk—for where we step on, God will give it to us! (Gen. 14:14-15, 17).

2. The Word of the Lord will give us victory! Let us do our best to keep His words. Let us not turn to the right or to the left. Let us not add our own opinion to or subtract from His promises. Let us believe His word and put it into practice! (Josh. 23:3, 6, 8).

3. In Abraham’s battle against the four kings, he went out with three hundred and eighteen men to face armies that had just won a war. Although they were only three hundred and eighteen, they were very capable men, born in his house, and the Lord granted them victory. If the Lord sends us out with only three hundred and eighteen, we will go out, believing that victory will come from Him (Genesis 14:8 17).

4. “If we work by ourselves, for ourselves, we will tire easily. Preaching the gospel, doing colporting, is not easy. In times of difficulty in doing God’s work, we need to have the eagle’s life, because ‘those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint’ (Isaiah 40:30-31) (Daily Food, book 1, week 2, Friday, p. 33).
