1. We need to value the birthright, maintaining a righteous heart, living by the flow of living water, and striving for the kingdom of God. We have a single focus: to fulfill God’s will, which is for Christ to be the head over all things and to subject all things under His feet (Ephesians 1:9-10).
2. In order for God’s will to be fulfilled, today we submit to the Headship of Christ and preach the gospel. Thus, through the church, He will head up all things. The result of this process, even in this time, is that Christ will become all in all (Colossians 3:11).
3. When Christ, through the church, is head over all things and they are under His feet, then the Son Himself will be subject to the Father, so that God may be all in all. This is the ultimate goal of His will. Hallelujah! (1 Corinthians 15:28).
4. “The promise of kingship is also part of the birthright. God is producing kings among us. If you do not reject the birthright, you will inherit the Earth together with Christ, you will inherit the kingdom, for you will be a prince of God, and finally, you will be a priest to serve Him” (Genesis 17:5-6) (Daily Food, book 9, week 2, Sunday, page 36).
