1. Those who are involved in doing God’s will need God’s blessing. This is not about material riches, but about being fruitful, multiplying, filling the Earth, and subduing it for God. The birthright aims to do God’s will with God’s blessing. God’s will is that Christ be the head over all things, and time exists for this will to be fulfilled (Genesis 1:28; Ephesians 1:9-10).
2. Christ is already above all things; however, all things are not yet subject to Him. Christ has already received authority, and everything is under His feet, but God desires that He exercise dominion over all things. And for this purpose, God gave Him to the church, so that it may carry out His will and subject all things to Christ (Matthew 28:18; Hebrews 2:8; Ephisians 1:19-22).
3. It is not teachings or theology that will make us submit to Christ. To head us up, God desires to fill us. This is the only way for the church to be the fullness of Him who fills all things in every way. While we are not fully filled with Christ, we can still resist His rule. But, by filling us with Him, He becomes the Head of our lives (Ephesians 1:23).
4. “All stagnant water is susceptible to contamination, but running water is not. Every week God has spoken to us in a living way! This is the living word, the prophetic word, the running waters” (Psalm 42:1-2) (Daily Food, book 9, week 4, Monday, p. 58).
