- When we preach the word of truth, people are saved, because there is power in it. If the word is not true, it has no effect. The word of life, in addition to having an effect within a person, also produces salvation and the fruits of the Spirit (1 Tim 2:4; Eph 1:13; 5:8-9).
- Man is able to sense when God’s word has power, because his heart burns for that word. This is the great difference between a false teacher and a true teacher. We just have to trust that the word has power and does the work of God (Col 1:5; 1 Cor 1:17; Mark 16:19-20; Luke 24:13-35).
- The prophetic word is very important because it washes and sanctifies us. It has all the nutrients necessary to give us the energy of life to serve the Lord. It also washes us, casting out all the residue of the natural man that exists within us (John 17:17; Eph 5:26; Ps 18:32-35).
- The anointing works like a red light that warns us when something is wrong. The anointing works within us through the word of truth. The truth that comes through the word sanctifies us and fills us with the reality of God (1 John 2:20, 27; John 17:17). (Daily Food, Book 2, Week 2, Friday, pp. 33, 34).
