DAILY IMMERSION IN THE PROPHETIC WORD Friday | Mess. 7 – The Restoration of God’s Government (2)

  1. The word of God demands something from us in return: the execution of His work. It does not merely serve to expand our theoretical knowledge, but demands its practical application. God does not send rain and snow for nothing; everything He sends to the earth is intended to produce food to supply the nations. The word itself executes God’s work and makes His people prosper! (Isaiah 55:10-11).

  1. The Feast of Tabernacles served as a reminder of the origins of the people, who lived in tents after their liberation from Egypt. Dear brothers and sisters, we need to live as pilgrims in this Earth! Everything we have belongs to the Lord, for everything we have here is temporary and our goal is to do His will (Neh. 8:13-14; 1 Pet. 2:11).

  1. After so much joy, the children of Israel went through a time of repentance. God’s desire is to find a dwelling place in those who are poor and contrite in spirit, who recognize the power of the Word! These are the ones who give rest to the Lord (Nehemiah 9:1-3; Isaiah 66:1-2).

  1. “If we live discouraged and downcast, certainly no one will think we have any hope. But if we are immersed in the word, seeing miracles happen and serving with joy together with the brothers and sisters (even facing difficulties while preaching the gospel), certainly the people around us will ask us what our hope is” (1 Peter 3:15) (Daily Food, Book 5, Week 3, Friday, p. 50 and 51).
