- Through the divine life, we serve one another with humbleness. Our relationship is one of humbleness, not arrogance, in which each one considers the other superior to himself. We do not consider ourselves better than others, because we do nothing by our own ability; it is the Lord who does it, through the power of the Spirit who is in the Word (Phil 2:3-4; 1 Cor 1:28-29).
- The sum of the law is love: loving God and our neighbor. He who seeks the essence of the law, which is love, must seek the tree of life, for only in life is love. Trying to fulfill the law by one’s own efforts belongs to the sphere of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil; it will not be possible and there will be frustration (Gal 5:14; Matt 22: 34-40).
- The law of the Spirit of life has set us free from the law of sin and death. The law of the Spirit is in our spirit, is superior and has greater power, which leads us to the heavenly realm. How precious it is to have access to the tree of life and to live by the Spirit! (Romans 8: 1-2).
- “Peter further exhorts: ‘By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men’ (2 Pet. 3: 7). The ungodly are all those who stand against the word of God, mocking and scoffing it”. (Daily Food, Book 7, Week 3, Friday, pp. 46-47).
