DAILY IMMERSION IN THE PROPHETIC WORD Friday | Msg. 20 – God’s Covenant with Noah

1. God desires the multiplication of humanity so that His will may be accomplished. Humanity must spread and fill the Earth, so that God’s rule, through humanity, may reach all creation. God doesn’t want just one city—He wants to conquer the entire Earth! Wherever He sends us, we will go, for what He truly desires is to restore His rule. God wants to reign over the entire Earth. (Gen 9:7).

2. How can we escape the dominion of darkness and death? There is only one way: repentance. It is through repentance that we separate ourselves from the kingdom of darkness, for in Satan’s sinful nature, there is no room for repentance. Jesus began His ministry in Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom. He went through every village and town announcing this good news, for this is God’s will: to restore His rule over the Earth through Christ (Matthew 4:23; 9:35-36).

3. In the covenant made, not only with Noah, but with all living beings, God promised never again to use the waters of the flood to destroy the Earth. Before the flood, this was necessary, for otherwise it would not have been possible for God to accomplish His will through mankind. The rainbow is the sign of God’s faithfulness in keeping His covenant. God is faithful. We can trust Him (Gen. 6:1-2; 1 Cor. 1:9; 1 Tim. 1:15).

4. “By seeking comfort and security, we unwittingly create a nice, comfortable nest, just as Job did. God won’t let us die in that nest. He will destroy it so we can depend on the Spirit to do His will (Job 29:18)” (Daily Food, book 1, week 2, Friday, p. 32).
