- In the early church, the word of the apostles came with power and directed the entire church living. Everyone was guided by this word, which came with power through the Spirit (Acts 2:42-47).
- The early church, which was created by the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, stopped following Him and giving Him freedom to act. Without freedom, the Spirit cannot carry out God’s work. There is no way to mix the law with faith (Acts 15:1,5; Gal 3:23-27).
- Today God uses His apostles to bring the commandment of the Lord and Savior to us. Let us follow and welcome the word of God that comes through the prophet, and maintain fellowship with the apostles (Acts 2:42; Heb 10:24-25).
- We are not dead stones, but living stones that are being built into a spiritual house[…]. This house is a living building, and we are living stones for its building. God did not raise up a dead organization, but made us members of a living organism (1Pe 2:5) (Daily Food, Book 4, Week 1, Monday, p. 6).
