- We need to be faithful to the truth of the gospel, just as the apostle Paul was. When he realized that the Galatians, who had received the gospel, were now falling back into practicing the law, Paul, without diplomacy, spoke the truth to them with great honesty and sincerity (Gal. 3:1-6).
- When warning the Galatians, the apostle Paul, knowing that the Jews paid great attention to the Law of Moses, speaks to them about Abraham, thus reminding them that the history of God’s people does not begin with Moses, who is related to the law, but with Abraham, who is someone recognized by the testimony of faith (Gal 3:3, 5-6).
- In Abraham’s time, all men had abandoned God, and idolatry reigned because of the selfishness of human beings, who worshiped idols to gain favor from them. Even Abraham’s father served other gods. The Lord, however, took Abraham because this pleased His heart (Josh 24:2-3; Neh 9:7-8).
- “The enemy tries to divert Christians from God’s purpose by using false prophets and false teachers to prevent faith from being dispensed to us. Let us persevere in following the prophetic word, which points us in the right direction amid the darkness of this present age (2 Pet. 2:1; 1:19)” (Daily Food, Book 7, Week 1, Monday, p. 5).
