- When the church was produced, its practice was to follow God’s direction through the apostles speaking. The church was then spiritually healthy, blessed, miracles and wonders occurred, and the number of people increased. Let us seek this practice in our lives, in order to give the Holy Spirit full freedom (Acts 2:42-47).
- Today, God wants us to see the importance of the prophetic word. In our days, it is like a GPS or a compass, which locates us and shows us the path to follow, and can keep us until the Lord returns! Let us follow the prophetic word closely (2 Peter 1:19).
- God wants to use us as warriors who fight for His kingdom, and God’s enemy wants to take us out of this battle. That is why we need to closely follow the prophetic word in order to be certain of what God is saying at the moment and not be fickle (2 Pet 1:12,19).
- May we be quick to respond to what God asks. May we have the reaction of Zacchaeus. When Jesus told him to hurry down from where he was because He needed to his go home that day, the Word reveals that “he hurried down and welcomed Him joyfully” (Luke 19:5-6) (Daily Food, Book 2, Week 4, Monday, p. 60).
