1. When God’s will is fully accomplished, when Christ is Head over all things, and everything is subject to Him, all disobedience and insubordination will be swept from the universe. Then Christ will hand over the kingdom to the Father, and God will reign forever. At this moment, time will come to an end, for God’s will shall be accomplished (Eph. 1:9-10; 1 Cor. 15:23-24).
2. The heavens exist for the sake of the Earth, so that it may stand firm in the universe. The Earth was created for man, and man was created to do God’s will. Therefore, God formed the spirit of man, making him different from all creation. He breathed into man the breath of the Almighty and made him a living being (Gen. 2:7; Zech. 12:1).
3. Jesus told His disciples that in the world, rulers exercise dominion and authority over the people, but in the church, it is not like this. The church is the expression of the Kingdom of heaven, and there is no seeking for position or power. We are members of the Body of Christ, and we live in love, mutual support and cooperation, for the edification of the Body (Matt. 20:25-26; 18:1-3).
4. “God’s purpose is to give life to man and to bring those who have received His life to the stage of mature children, fit to receive as an inheritance the promise He made to Abraham and his seed (Gal. 3:26, 29; 4:7)” (Rom. 8:16-17) (Daily Food, book 3, week 2, Monday, p. 23).
