DAILY IMMERSION IN THE PROPHETIC WORD Saturday | Mess. 2 – Problems in Jerusalem and the Advancement of the Church Among the Nations

  1. Whoever believes in Jesus is justified by faith, not by the works of the law (Gal. 3:23-26). This was one of the goals of the apostle Paul’s ministry, to transmit a healthy gospel to the church of God. It is important to pay attention to this, because subordination to the law may have been the cause of the shipwreck of the church in Jerusalem.

  1. For God, it does not matter how much work we do for Him, but how much of this word, captured by the hearing of faith, has brought the truth into our hearts. Therefore, we cannot fail to immerse ourselves in it on any day of our lives. Every day this word grants us the Spirit, gives us the energy of life and is constituted in us. This truth is the ticket to the eternal Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Pet 1:3-8, 11).

  1. Peter made it clear to the recipients of his second epistle that even if he died, the church was to follow the apostles’ teaching. This was the effort he undertook toward the end of his ministry, in his maturity (2 Pet. 1:14-15).

  1. In order for the life of God to grow in us to maturity, we must go through suffering. Peter attested to this when he wrote: “In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have had to suffer grief in various trials” (1 Pet. 1:6) (Daily Food, Book 4, Week 2, Saturday, p. 34).
