- If we leave the path of truth our end will be destruction. Everything that is not governed by God is in disorder. But God’s government gives us direction and order. We are governed by One conductor: Christ (2 Pet 2:1-2; Prov 29:18 KJA; Ps 32:8; Is 30:21; 48:17).
- The intention of false prophets is to isolate us from the supply of life through the word, because without supply our spiritual life decays. When spiritual immunity falls, we become easy prey for people with self-interests (2 Pet 2:1; Matt 7:15-20; 1 Tim 1:3-7; 4:3-4).
- Lot should have recognized that God was with Abraham and that his blessing would be to follow him closely. Let us not choose the wrong side; let us always seek to be close to where the blessing is. The ease that the world presents to us daily causes us to gradually be influenced, which can harm our family. Choose the path of blessing! (Gen 13:10-13; Deut 30:15-20; 1 John 2:15-17).
- The enemy uses the world and the lusts in it as his battlefield, and the weapon of the kingdom of darkness is lies. We, however, have truth as our weapon. Our best defense is to turn to the word of truth so that the Lord can strengthen us, generating in us emotional resilience (1 John 2:15-17; John 8:44; 2 Cor 10:4-5 KJV; Eph 6:17) (Daily Food, Book 2, Week 2, Saturday, pp. 36, 37).
