DAILY IMMERSION IN THE PROPHETIC WORD Saturday | Msg. 06 – The Restoration of the Earth: The Fifth Day and the Sixth Day

1. God created man as the center of creation. Some may find this presumptuous, but we believe the Bible, which tells us that the heavens exist for the Earth, and the Earth for man, who, in turn, was created with a spirit to do God’s will. And God’s will is for Christ to govern all things (Zech. 12:1; Eph. 1:9-10).

2. Man was created so that God could govern through him and establish divine government. Doctrinally, Christ is above all things, but “all things” are not yet subject to Him. Our wills and opinions still prevail. To subject all things, He must first subject you and me, and He will do this through the word (Eph. 1:20-22, 9-10; 5:26).

3. The creation of man was so important that it required a meeting of the Divine Trinity. Thus, man was made in the image and likeness of God. The likeness refers to the outward appearance, and the image, to the inward appearance. What does the image of God look like? Christ is the image of God (Gen. 1:26-27; John 1:18; Col. 1:15; Rom. 8:29).

4. “The hearing of faith results in obedience to the truth. When we obey God’s command, His work is accomplished and prospers among us. The problem is that Satan wants to paralyze God’s work, and the most effective way for him to do this is to introduce another word” (1 Thess. 2:13; Gal. 5:7 8; 1:6) (Daily Food, book 3, week 4, Saturday, p. 69).
