1. In contrast to the tree of life, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil represents death. It is a trap for man, for he desires good but lacks the ability to achieve it. Therefore, we must return to eating from the tree of life, which is the Lord Jesus Himself (Gen. 3:5; Rom. 7:18; John 15:1-5).
2. We need to recognize the dangers of the “good” side of the soul. Some men reject evil and seek to do good, unaware that without Christ they remain in the same source of death. Through immersion in the Word, war cries, and sleeping and waking up listening to the messages, the Lord desires us to escape all falsehood and connect ourselves to the tree of life through the Word (John 17:17; Matthew 16:21-23).
3. The devil is a liar and the father of lies; by his rebellion, he has cut himself off from God, who is truth. All he wants is to disconnect man from God and prevent him from eating the fruit of the tree of life (John 8:44).
4. “Don’t waste time! Immerse yourself in the Word, preach the gospel, shepherd people, and live the church life intensely. Live with purpose—the Lord’s purpose!” (Eph 5:15-16) (Daily Food, book 4, week 3, Saturday, page 49).
