- The sphere of the law is the religious sphere in which we live by human capacity. If you return to the practice of the law, you return to the sphere of the flesh, of religion, and there lies the oldness of the letter, which is always the same thing. There is nothing new. You are guided by human logic and tradition, without any newness (Rom 7:6).
- If we live in the oldness of the letter, we will repeat centuries and centuries of religious history. But if we live in the spirit, there will always be newness. (John 4:23-24).
- Why is the Church so joyful? Because the Spirit is having freedom and every day we are seeing new things. That is why we need to give freedom to the Spirit! Serving in newness of spirit always brings newness of life (Gal 5:1,5-6, 22-23).
- “The word of truth is the good news that saves us (Eph. 1:13) through faith. We must believe the word. When we believe, the word of truth saves us and transforms objective faith into subjective reality within us. This is what God is doing with us: establishing the word of truth in our hearts. In the word is the power of God” (Col. 1:5-6) (Daily Food, Book 7, Week 2, Saturday, p. 31).
