1. God’s word is a command to be obeyed by man; the Lord does not consult man, but speaks, and man must obey. When we feed on the word daily, we do good. He who practices truth comes to the light, and when the light reveals any error, it is dealt with. But he who practices evil avoids the light, for he does not want to be exposed (Genesis 3:11).
2. Woman was created as man’s helper. The helper acts on behalf of the one they serve, doing nothing on their own initiative, but remaining under direction, just as Christ submitted to the Father. He did not speak of Himself, nor did He seek His own glory, for the Father is the protagonist. Likewise, we should not follow our own will; it is the Lord who decides (Genesis 2:18-23).
3. With every step he took, Jesus sought the Father’s guidance, living in full fellowship with Him. The same principle applies to us: the church is Christ’s helper, and as such, in every decision and every step we must seek fellowship with the Lord (John 5:19, 30; 6:38; 7:18).
4. “The sign that the Spirit governs is this: There is unity and oneness among the members, that is, they are all of one heart and soul. Like a laser beam, the word of God puts us on the same frequency […] so that we all have the same focus, the same direction” (Acts 4:32) (Daily Food, book 5, week 2, Saturday, p. 34).
