DAILY IMMERSION IN THE PROPHETIC WORD Saturday | Msg. 21 – Nimrod and Human Government in Opposition to God

1. After the flood, God established human government, with Noah as His appointed authority. However, Satan used an ambitious man to establish a kingdom in opposition to God’s. The Tower of Babel symbolized human presumption in rivalry to the Creator. Let us be those who submit to what God has instituted (Gen. 9:1, 8-9; 10:8-10; 11:4; Rom. 13:1).

2. The Tower of Babel, a symbol of human resistance to God, shows the negative unity among humankind. However, we need to focus on the positive things that God does! We have been called as “workers of the last hour” to participate in the great enterprise of bringing God’s kingdom to Earth. Let us be united in focus, direction, word, and love for the Lord and our brothers and sisters; let us hasten the coming of God’s kingdom! (Matthew 20:6-7; Philippians 2:2).

3. Closely following God’s words has brought us closer together in spirit. The Lord has placed us in a resonance chamber: We are the same frequency, color, phase, and cycle. If we are on different cycles, we can cancel each other out; but when we are aligned, we join forces. We have one focus: to do God’s will! (Phil. 2:2).

4. “We all make mistakes, but when the light shines on us, let us repent, soften our hearts, because there is still opportunity for us: ‘If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness’” (1 John 1:9) (Daily Food, book 1, week 3, Saturday, p. 51).
