1. Today the Lord has brought the church life back to the wonderful moment of its beginning. Only the Spirit can accomplish this. The atmosphere among us is heavenly. The Garden of Eden has returned to the church life—the garden of pleasure. We dwell together and live in oneness; we do the same work and have the same focus, the same frequency, and the same phase (Acts 2:44; Phil. 2:2).
2. Abraham, being generous, gave Lot the advantage of choosing first. Lot then opted for the easy life, the fields and plains, and, separating from Abraham, he pitched his tents until he reached a sinful city. His end was tragic and unhappy. Therefore, never have your own work; follow only the work of the Lord (Gen. 13:8-13).
3. Christ will inherit all things. He is not only the Only Begotten Son of God, but the Christ who took on humanity and became the Firstborn Son of God. And we who follow Christ and abide in Him will inherit all things with Him, being joint heirs with Christ (Heb. 1:2; Acts 13:33; Rom. 8:17, 29; Gal. 3:29).
4. “Everything that God does must be under a government, under a dominion, the dominion of God. Therefore, although there was already the diffused light of the first day, there was the need for a definite and intense light to illuminate and govern the Earth” (Gen. 1:14-19) (Daily Food, book 2, week 1, Saturday, pg. 17).
