DAILY IMMERSION IN THE PROPHETIC WORD Saturday | Msg. 26 – The Birth of Ishmael and the Appearing of God Almighty

1. God wants us to live by His Word and diligently listen to it. Many seek only theological knowledge, but a true child of God needs to learn to hear the voice of the Lord. And not just hear, but hear, keep, and practice everything the Lord has spoken to them (Hebrews 2:1; Exodus 19:5).

2. It is essential to pay attention to the Word of the Lord. Leaders should not only seek to have experience to help and great skill to solve problems; the most important thing is to heed the words of the Lord. The goal is to follow the Lord and not take one’s own direction. Obedience is better than sacrifice (1 Samuel 15:1, 11, 22).

3. Jesus died, rose again, and was glorified by God, becoming the all-inclusive Spirit. The Almighty God now dwells in me and in you. The Lord has granted us the blessing of Abraham—the Spirit—who can supply all our needs so that we may attain the fullness of God (Philippians 1:19; Galatians 3:14).

4. “The human spirit has lost its function of receiving the word of God, because man has offended the glory, righteousness, and holiness of God (Rom 3:23; 5:12; Eph 2:1). And the soul, which depended on the spirit to do God’s will, has been left adrift, without leadership, like a boat adrift” (Daily Food, book 2, week 4, Saturday, p. 70).
