- If those whom the Lord is counting on to restore the condition of the church are discouraged, then He cannot count on us. We must give our best to the Lord! Even in the matter of offerings and vows, we need to change our culture. It is not about giving what is left of my time or money. Let us put the Lord as our priority (Neh 8:10; 2 Cor 9:6-8; Matt 6:33).
- In serving God, we need to practice inclusion, encouraging the participation and perfecting of the younger generation; we should not worry about losing position, because we need many people to cooperate with us. We have all been inexperienced in the past. Let us give others opportunities and perfect them, just as Paul perfected Timothy (1 Tim 4:12).
- Praise the Lord for the inclusion of women in church services! With the right heart and attitude, they contribute a lot to the church. The sisters are presenting excellent service and have hearts that are sensitive to the Lord, to the point of identifying a desire from God to carry out His will, just as David’s mighty men did (Luke 8:3; 2 Sam. 23:15-16).
- “Whoever loves life and wants to see happy days in their marriage, in the workplace, and in their church life, listen to this: Refrain your tongue from evil. However, if we take up the word of the Lord in our hearts, our mouths will speak out of the abundance of our hearts” (1 Pet. 3:10; Deut. 6:5-7; Matt. 12:34) (Daily Food, Book 5, Week 2, Sunday, p. 37).
