1. The Spirit hovered over the waters, which already reveals God’s intention to restore the Earth. He needs the Earth to fulfill His will. Nothing can stop Him, because His will is sovereign. Man can only fulfill it through God Himself dwelling within him (Gen. 1:2; Zech. 12:1).
2. Our spirit and soul are not material, but come from the Spirit of God, and so they are eternal. There is something eternal within us, and God wants to use this spirit to accomplish His will. He seeks worshipers who will worship Him in spirit. Therefore, we need to learn to walk and live in the spirit (John 4:23–24; 7:37–39).
3. Christ is in us, and His goal is to fill us until our lives are fully led by Him. Let us not walk according to the flesh, but follow the Spirit, who blows like the wind. Let us not settle or devise methods—let us give the Spirit freedom to act in living, sovereign ways (Rom. 8:9–11; John 3:8).
4. “When we live in tradition and conventional methods, we are not emancipated. However, when we live in the reality of faith, walking closely with the word, we live in the reality of hearing in faith. […] We all need to function as members of the Body of Christ. Don’t be left out! Let’s be useful in the hands of the Lord” (Rom. 12:4) (Daily Food, book 3, week 1, Sunday, p. 20-21).
