1. Man always stumbles because of his heart. Let us not walk by our own logic, but by the ways of the Lord. Let us never have a heart of unbelief, which would separate us from the living God. An unbelieving and disobedient heart does not enter God’s rest (Matt. 15:18; Heb. 3:8-9, 12).
2. Until we learn to enter into rest, we will continue to be tired, weary, distressed, and anxious. God wants to bring you into rest with Him! It is the living God who leads and guides us day by day, so let us believe in Him and obey Him (Heb 3:10, 15).
3. God wants to guide you in a living way, so don’t harden your hearts, don’t be disobedient when speaking about the Lord, but believe with simplicity. Have a broken and afflicted spirit, one that trembles at the word of God and has reverent love for it. Let’s open our hearts to God, for He has promised you and me that we will enter into rest with Him. Let’s serve in that rest! (Isaiah 66:1-2; Hebrews 3:7-12).
4. “A Christian can choose to walk according to the flesh or according to the spirit. And what determines this choice? The mind of the Christian […]. Therefore, to walk in the spirit, it is necessary to set our minds on the things of the spirit […], and immersion in the word is essential. For this reason, it is so important to always carry the immersion flyer with us, because it helps us keep our minds on the spirit” (Romans 8:6) (Daily Food, Book 4, Week 1, Sunday, p. 20).
