DAILY IMMERSION IN THE PROPHETIC WORD Sunday | Msg. 12 – The Fall of Man

1. The serpent’s sphere of activity is the Earth, in contact with the dust. Man’s body was formed from dust, and Satan feeds on those who walk according to the inclinations of the flesh, satisfying their desires and thoughts, as do the children of wrath. When we live in the flesh, we become food for the serpent. Therefore, let us not be dominated by the flesh, but live by the Spirit! (Genesis 3:14; Ephesians 2:1-3; 4:17-19).

2. In the book of Revelation, the serpent that appeared to Eve in Genesis 3 transformed into a great red dragon. This dragon, the ancient serpent, is the devil himself, Satan, the deceiver of the whole world. He is called a dragon because he became much larger and more vicious than a serpent. He is great because he feeds on men who live in the flesh. He is red because he shed the blood of the saints throughout the centuries, being the first murderer (Revelation 12:3, 9; John 8:44; Ephesians 6:12).

3. The divine life we receive is compared to that of an eagle, which soars high above the principalities and powers of Satan. Just as Christ was exalted to the right hand of God in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power, so we too have been raised with Him and seated with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Through this resurrection life, we have victory over Satan and his evil angels (Exodus 19:4; Isaiah 40:28-31; Ezekiel 1:10; Eph. 1:20-21; 2:6).

4. “May we all be awakened to the fact that we must fulfill and obey only the word that came from the Son, through the mouth of the apostles, and which was executed by the Holy Spirit with power in those who believe” (Acts 5:29; 1 Thessalonians 2:13) (Daily Food, book 5, week 2, Sunday, p. 38)
