- The cross solved the problem of sin and reopened access to God’s life, to the tree of life, that had previously been closed (Gal. 1:4).
- The apostle Peter was a channel used by God to bring the Gentiles into the church through the dispensation of grace. This drastic change of dispensation occurred through the death and resurrection of Christ! Hallelujah! The cross of Christ marked this new beginning: through His work, everyone who believes is brought into the church by faith! (Acts 10:1-48).
- The church began gloriously at the beginning of the book of Acts, but it has been degrading over the centuries. Then God raised us up! He has been restoring His people according to His will. We are the last-hour workers, unqualified in ourselves, not the most capable, but necessary for God to accomplish His work. And by the power of the Holy Spirit and the guidance of the word, we will accomplish His will! (Acts 2:42-47; Matt. 20:1-16; Luke 12:32).
- “Let us live in Christ, in freedom, following the Spirit to do God’s will. We are free from external rules, from human logic. We are free to walk in the Spirit!” (2 Cor 3:17) (Daily Food, Book 1, week 2, Sunday, p. 42).
