1. All of God’s children and servants of the Lord must have the principle of serving according to God’s heart, carefully following His words (1 Sam 15:1).
2. To pay attention to the words of the Lord is to listen diligently to what God says in the present moment, just as He spoke to the people of Israel on Mount Sinai ( Deut 11:13-15; Ex 19:5).
3. All who desire to serve the Lord must pay attention to His words, follow them, and carry them out in obedience (1 Sam. 15:22).
4. “At the beginning of the book of Genesis, when God created the universe, time also began […] If there is a beginning of time, there must also be an end. When God’s will is accomplished–that is, when Christ is Head over all things—all disobedience will have been swept from the universe. When all the enemies are destroyed, Christ will hand over the kingdom to the Father. Time will end when the kingdom in handed over to the Father because God’s will shall have been accomplished” (1 Cor. 15:24-25) (Daily Food, book 1, week 4, Monday, p. 56).
