1. Today we have the right to serve the Lord. Our lives are for this purpose. GPC is a tool that assists us in this service, just like the colporteurs, David’s mighty men, and others, serving the Lord as a royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9).
2. Do you want to inherit the double portion of the Earth? This portion does not include the entirety of God’s people in the church. All will inherit the Earth—the new heaven, new Earth, and the new Jerusalem. However, only the overcomers will inherit the Earth in the millennium; that is the double portion. Do you want to inherit the Earth only in eternity or already in advance, in the millennium? I want to be in the millennium (Genesis 49:10).
3. The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until Shiloh comes. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the Earth. Likewise, the overcomers will receive kingship to rule over the nations. We will all be priests, but we need to exercise the priesthood today, in the church, and “tomorrow,” in the millennium (Matthew 5:5; Rev. 20:6; 22:3).
4. “Today the Lord calls us to be part of the group of those who truly love Him, who fight for His kingdom and who choose to walk continually in His presence” (Genesis 5:24) (Daily Food, book 5, week 2, Sunday, p. 36).
