1. God made the heavens for the Earth, and the Earth for man. The Lord wants to accomplish something on Earth, and the most important thing for Him is the human spirit. We must take care of our bodies so that we are able to serve God, but the most essential thing is our spirit, through which we can fulfill the Lord’s will (Zech 12:1; 1 Cor 6:19).
2. God formed man from clay and breathed into him the breath of life — “neshamah” in Hebrew. Immediately, man became a living soul. Each of us has our own personality and free will. We are all different, but together, each in our own way, we will express the manifold wisdom of God (Gen. 2:7; Eph. 3:10).
3. We were essentially created as spiritual beings, and our physical bodies are instruments that God gave us so that we can fulfill His will while we are alive. When we die, our opportunity ends. Therefore, we must make good use of our bodies and spirits to do God’s will (Job 33 :4; 34:14-15; Eccl 12:7).
4. “Abraham did not question God, nor did he doubt the order to leave his land… When he reached his destination, he did not receive a square meter of land, but he still believed that he and his descendants would receive it. The blessing is in believing the word of the Lord with simplicity” (Acts 7:2-5) (Daily Food, book 2, week 4, Thursday, p. 64).
