1. Because of gravity, we cannot leave the ground; we cannot fly. Spiritually, evil forces also try to keep us tied to the earthly sphere; however, God desires to take us to the heavenly realms in Christ. How is this possible? Christ has already been lifted up—and we have been lifted up with Him! When the enemy tries to oppress us, we can proclaim, “In Christ I am far above you!” (Eph. 1:19-21; 2:6).
2. If we believe in the Lord Jesus, we already died and have been raised with Him. Therefore, let us no longer live subject to the powers of principalities and authorities. Let us set our minds on the Spirit and seek the things that are above, where Christ lives! Let us have a heart like Abraham’s, who was not attached to the things of the Earth (Col 3:1-4; Heb 11:9-10).
3. How can we, in practice, set our minds on the things above and set our minds on the Spirit? By immersing ourselves in the Word; closely following the prophetic Word, watching messages and livestreams; fulfilling the “family mission”; preaching the gospel; being involved with our brothers and sisters in TCS activities; and, like Abraham, aspiring to what is heavenly (Col 3:2-4; Heb 11:9 10).
4. “The law given by God cannot justify man before Him, but faith can. So, believe in God, choose to obey the word of command quickly, without giving the enemy a chance to put doubts in your mind, just as he did with Eve” (Gal. 2:16; 2 Cor. 11:3) (Daily Food, book 3, week 4, Thursday, p. 65).
