1. God placed man in the garden which He formed to live in His presence, in an environment of joy and pleasure, but also to cultivate and care for it. The Lord delegated to man the responsibility of governing the garden for Him: to cultivate, which means to deal with life, and to keep, which means to exercise God’s authority (Genesis 2:15).
2. Our responsibility is to cultivate life. By sending immersion and preaching the gospel on the streets, we cultivate life in the Garden. On the other hand, we must protect the church and our brothers and sisters from the attacks and lies of Satan and his hosts (Gal 6:7-9).
3. The Lord only sends rain when there are people willing to work for Him. Therefore, we should not complain if our church or the brothers and sisters around us are spiritually weak, because the responsibility lies with each of us: to till the soil so that life may multiply within the church (Genesis 2:5).
4. “The spiritual man walks like God: at the intersection of the planes of righteousness and love. This is how we should deal with those who fall into some fault. On the other hand, we must also guard ourselves against falling into sin” (Gal. 6:1) (Daily Food, book 4, week 3, Thursday, p. 45).
