DAILY IMMERSION IN THE PROPHETIC WORD Thursday | Msg. 19 – The Flood

1. The Word of God is holy. The more we receive it, the more we are sanctified. This happens because we are washed through it. And as we are sanctified in this way, we rise ever higher. Walking with God is an ascending journey: we climb higher and higher, as our natural elements are eliminated and, in turn, God’s holy elements are added. Thus, we draw ever closer to the Lord (Eph. 5:25-26; John 17:17; Genesis 5:24).

2. “Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved”. The first step is to believe; the second, to be baptized. After baptism, we have a good conscience. Baptism is the visible confirmation of the spiritual reality that took place on the cross. In Christ, we are already on this side of the cross, and the world can no longer reach us (Mark 16:16; 1 Peter 3:21).

3. Noah’s entry into the ark represents our entry into Christ. The ark was enormous, but it had only one door. Christ is that door. Do you desire to enter through the door of the ark? If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. He is the entrance (Gen. 6:16; John 10:7, 9; Rom. 10:9-10).

4. “This is the purpose of time: that God would make Christ the Head over all things. And this will be done with the cooperation of the church. (…) Until then, time is still going on. So let us shorten it, so that God’s will may be accomplished quickly” (Eph. 1:22) (Daily Food, book 1, week 1, Thursday, p. 14).
