- The fall of man occurred because he chose to have the power to discern between good and evil. Through Adam’s disobedience, sin came to dwell in man. To try to do good and please God is to remain in the principle of the tree of knowledge (Romans 5:12; 7:18-20).
- A true Christian is one who has been led and connected to God. He recognizes that in his natural capacity he cannot do good or please God. Through the word of God, we receive His life and nature, and we begin to do His will and live a life that pleases Him (Romans 11:23).
- What kind of house can we build for God? He does not need a house built by human hands. The Lord dwells in those who are contrite and lowly in spirit, that is, those who do not trust in their ability to discern good from evil and who do not feel capable of pleasing God (Isaiah 66:1-2).
- Disobedience opened the door to the new world created by God so that sin (which was not part of this new world redesigned by God) could enter. Along with sin, death also entered and spread to all men. This was the great tragedy of humanity (Romans 5:12). (Daily Food, Book 1, Tuesday, p. 08).
