DAILY IMMERSION IN THE PROPHETIC WORD Tuesday | Mess. 26 – God’s Judgment on False Teachers

  1. All things in the universe are accomplished through the word (Heb. 1:2-3). Therefore, while the apostle Peter was alive, he would strive to remind others of this truth, so that it would always be present among those who would hear and receive it, even after his departure (2 Pet. 1:12-15).

  1. The false teachers propagated that Peter, James, and John had created ingenious fables about the revelation of Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration. However, the apostle Peter affirms that no prophecy originates from man, but from God. And that the disciples were eyewitnesses to the revelation that Jesus Christ is, in fact, the beloved Son of God (2 Pet. 1:16-18).

  1. The confirmation of the prophetic word comes through the fulfillment of what was revealed by the apostles. The word that comes from God truly accomplishes His work. Therefore, it is like a light that shines in a dark place. It locates us and gives us direction and security. If we follow it, one day the dawn will come to us. The dawn is the coming of our Lord Jesus, like the morning star, who will rise in the hearts of those who seek Him (2 Pet 1:19-21).

  1. The anointing that God has placed in us is not figurative, but it is a spiritual reality and actually teaches us and confirms the word: “But as for you, the anointing which you have received abides in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But just as the anointing teaches you about all things and is true and is not false, just as it has taught you, abide in Him” (1 John 2:27) (Daily Food, Book 2, Week 3, Tuesday, p. 43).
