- God warns us, throughout the Bible, that the false teachers will seek out unstable souls to entice them. In order to be kept from this and to be stable in God, we need to inculcate the word in us, which means to “engrave,” or to “imprint” the word of God through repetition. We can also help others practice the immersion in the word (2 Pet 2:1, 14; Deut 6:6-7).
- There exist some people that spend their time ridiculing the Word of God. They are scoffers (mockers), living without fear, who defame authorities. As for us, we should continue to remember the words of the Lord in order to build up ourselves in the faith, and, if possible, to help those who are uncertain about having contact with the Word and immersing themselves in it (Jude 1:18, 8, 17, 20-22).
- The word that comes out of the mouth of God is what carries out the work of God. We cannot limit what God desires to do because of our human thoughts. We do not have even the capability to understand the work of God. Let us trust in the word. Our sufficiency comes from God! (Isa 55:8-11; 2 Cor 3:5).
- “God sent His own Son so that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. God could have made many demands to save us, but He determined only one condition: that we believe in His Son! […] God also sent His son to us so that we might live through Him” (Jn 3:16; 1:12; 1Jn 4:9) (Daily Food, Book 2, Week 4, Tuesday, pg. 62).
