- We are commissioned to take the blessing of Abraham and reach all the families of the earth. This blessing is the promised Spirit. Let’s make this blessing reach people. This is the gospel of the kingdom that we preach to the entire inhabited earth until the end comes (Gal 3:14; Matt 24:14).
- The promises were made to Abraham and his seed. Here it says “descendent” in the singular, only one, who is Christ. The promise given to Abraham and his descendent is fulfilled in Christ. The word “descendent” is always in the singular. The seed is Christ (Gal 3:16).
- If we are Christ’s, we are part of the fulfillment of the promise. Christ is the fulfillment of all God’s promises. It is in Christ that we have the “yes and amen”. Let us not seek God’s promises outside of Christ. To participate in these promises, we must be in Christ (2 Cor. 1:20).
- “We do not follow the logic of the mind or the logic of the letter, but we follow the Spirit. The church in Philadelphia must follow the Spirit! That is why the Lord has called us to be the workers of the last hour. He wants the freedom to do His work!” (Rom 8:14; Matt 20:6-7) (Daily Food, Book 6, Week 3, Tuesday, p. 45).
