DAILY IMMERSION IN THE PROPHETIC WORD Tuesday | Msg. 19 – The Flood

1. We are the Male-child, the strong part of the church fighting for the kingdom of God. We are an army fighting for the kingdom of Christ. In the book of Numbers, God commands Moses and Aaron to take a census of the entire congregation of the children of Israel, summoning all those able to go to war. So too, God has called us—called the church—and one of the church’s primary functions is to form an army (Revelation 12:5; Num. 1:1-3).

2. The tabernacle was the center of life for God’s people in the wilderness. The twelve tribes of Israel camped around it, facing it. There was the Lord’s presence: He manifested Himself, fellowship with Moses, and spoke with him face to face. Moses, in turn, received God’s word and transmitted it to the people as a voice of command. Today, in the same way, in the church—the house of God—we have the Lord’s presence, who continues to speak throughout the centuries through the apostles and prophets (Num. 2:1-15; 12:8; Exod. 25:8).

3. We need to serve and, at the same time, be responsible, closely following the Word. This is not merely manual labor required by God. The Lord wants us to understand His heart, pay careful attention to His words, and know what He desires, what is in His heart, what He desires today. God needs us! (Num. 4:1-3; Exod. 19:5).

4. “God wants us to be simple, to love the word, and to be broken in spirit, with nothing to boast about before men. We have the word, the Holy Spirit, and the power of God. This power does not come from man, but from God. Therefore, He chooses the weak and despised things to shame the strong” (Isaiah 66:2b; 1 Corinthians 1:25-28) (Daily Food, book 1, week 1, Tuesday, p. 9).
