DAILY IMMERSION IN THE PROPHETIC WORD Tuesday | Msg. 21 – Nimrod and Human Government in Opposition to God

1. As David’s mighty men, we enlist in God’s army, heeding His call. We do not seek personal gain; we fight for the establishment of the Lord’s kingdom on Earth. Let us use all the tools He has given us. We will certainly not suffer loss in our secular work or business; rather, we will prosper, for our hearts desire to be with our King, Christ (1 Chr 11:10; Luke 12:31).

2. God created man to dominate and rule the Earth; however, man, by himself, does not have this capacity. Therefore, God formed man with the capacity to receive Him. He placed within us the human spirit—the organ through which we can contact Him. Once we receive God through His word, He begins to rule our soul—mind, emotions, and will (Gen. 1:26; 2:7; John 4:24).

3. By eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil before eating from the tree of life, man fell into the enemy’s trap. Satan wanted to thwart God’s plan—to have man rule the Earth through His life. Thus, the human spirit lost the ability to contact God, and man began to live under the rule of conscience. Let us feed only on the tree of life! (Gen. 2:9, 15-17; 3:6-7; John 15:1, 4-5; 6:57).

4. “Man was created differently from other creatures; he was created by the breath of God. Man’s spirit connects him with God so that man receives Him as life and is enabled to do His will. This is what we were created for” (Gen. 2:7; John 4:24, 20:22; Matt. 6:10) (Daily Food, book 1, week 3, Tuesday, p. 43).
