DAILY IMMERSION IN THE PROPHETIC WORD Tuesday | Msg. 26 – The Birth of Ishmael and the Appearing of God Almighty

1. Every covenant made by God is sealed with blood. Christ shed His blood for us on the cross, paid the debt of our sins, and established an eternal covenant with us. The Lord’s Supper should not be seen as a mere religious act, but as something profound and real. The blood He shed is the blood of the new covenant (Genesis 15:9-10; Luke 22:19-20).

2. After the fall, humanity needed to be reconciled with God, and this required an offering for sins. Christ became this offering. Thus, we regain access to the tree of life and have the hope of inheriting the whole Earth. Finally, we too become a living offering, surrendering ourselves to the Lord (Genesis 3:23-24; Leviticus 5:9; 15:30; 1:10).

3. We no longer belong to ourselves, but to Christ. We do not live by our own strength, but by the power of His resurrection. Once crucified with Christ, we no longer live, but Christ lives in us. We were buried with Him in death through baptism, to walk in newness of life in order to serve God, not by our natural ability, but according to the new life we have received (Gal 2:20; Rom 6:4-6).

4. “We are God’s building and field, His co-workers (1 Corinthians 3:9). Since man exists to till the ground, God sends the rain. […] If we work diligently, God will send showers of blessings. We cannot remain in our comfort zone; on the contrary, we need to commit ourselves, accepting the challenges by faith” (Daily Bread, book 2, week 4, Tuesday, p. 60).
