- The apostle Peter warns us about false prophets, who distort true teaching by introducing false teaching that has the appearance of spirituality but does not have the power of life. Nothing happens through their preaching because it does not have the power of God. We need to be careful what we hear (2 Pet. 2:1; 2 Tim. 4:3-4).
- Let us not be easy prey, let us be solid, truly believing that the faith of Christ, God Himself, is being worked into our subjective faith. If we have content with the true word, and it comes from the right channel, we will be constituted with the truth (Rom 10:17; Rev 1:1).
- Prophesying does not mean merely speaking in the church for God, but refers to the origin of prophecy that comes from God’s revelation and fellowship with the apostles. We have the prophetic word that gives us direction and rhythm, and everything God speaks in the Bible gives us assurance. (Rom 12:6 8; Acts 2:42; Gal 1:11-12; Phil 3:1).
- In this end time, it is imperative to remain in the Word of life and in the fellowship of eternal life, so that we become resilient in the face of the enemy’s attacks. The enemy always tries to bring us down and discourage us, but let us be resilient in the work of the Lord! (Dan 11:32b KJA). (Daily Food, Book 2, Week 2, Wednesday, p. 27, 30).
