- The word that the Lord gives us is not mere biblical knowledge, nor a suggestion for a better Christian life, but it is an order, a command. The Head speaks to the Body, which executes the word as a command (2 Pet 3:2).
- God does not live limited to time and space like us. He lives in eternity, and also with the contrite and humble of spirit, like a thirsty leaf that causes negative pressure that suctions the sap from the roots. God is the Father of lights, lives at the speed of light, and for Him time does not pass (Isaiah 57:15; James 1:17).
- Time in eternity is not like ours. Therefore, we cannot judge God with our limitations, demanding from Him the time of the Lord’s coming. If He has not come, it is because He is patient with us and is waiting for us. We cannot be those who judge that the Lord’s coming is delayed and go on living our own lives (2 Peter 3:8-9).
4. “Today we are no longer subject to the empire of darkness. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is our King and governs us. God is light and love, His attributes are righteousness, holiness and glory, and whoever is born of God and remains in Him does not practice sin (1 John 3:9)” (Daily Food, Book 3, Week 1, Wednesday, p. 10).
