DAILY IMMERSION IN THE PROPHETIC WORD Wednesday | Mess. 3 – The Reasons for Babylonian Captivity

  1. We do not fear the attacks of the enemy. When we speak of doubling the number of brothers and sisters, we are not speaking in vain, but we are basing ourselves on the Lord’s promise. If we trust in His word, He will make us fruitful, and we will multiply. The hand of the Lord is with the church (Lev. 26:6-9).

  1. The Jewish leaders held Moses in high esteem and honored him, but only with lip service. Moses was given living words to deliver to the people, living words from God! A prophet is not a theologian to teach theology, but he delivers living words from God to His people (Acts 7:38).

  1. They did not obey Moses and even made gods to worship. That is why they were taken to Babylon. With their mouths they spoke of the law, they spoke of Moses, but they resisted the Holy Spirit and persecuted the prophets. Prophets are people sent to speak for God, and their words are a warning for the people to return to God. (Acts 2:41, 52).

  1. “The Lord’s goal is the complete salvation of man, ready to be revealed in the last time (1 Pet. 1:5). This salvation refers to the salvation of our souls: “Obtaining the end of your faith, the salvation of your souls” (v. 9).” (Daily Food, Book 4, Week 3, Wednesday, p. 43).
