- The apostle Paul was martyred around the year 67, and by that time, all those in Asia had already abandoned him. When the church abandons the apostle, when it abandons the prophetic word, the government of God ends. The Holy Spirit no longer has the authority to do His work. This was the case until the end of the first century. Let us treasure the prophetic word (2 Tim. 1:15; 2 Pet. 1:19).
- At the end of the first century, the apostle John tried to reconnect the church to the word of the apostles, speaking about the Word of life, eternal life, fellowship with the apostle, fellowship with the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, and the fellowship of life. We need to be connected! (1 John 1:1 3).
- We gather together on the basis of the unity of God’s people within each city. That is, all those who are truly regenerated by the Holy Spirit, the genuine children of God, are part of the church in the city where they are. If they have genuine faith, it does not matter what denomination they are in or what their practices are (Rev. 1:11; 1 Cor. 1:2).
- “God has established an order in marriage, and being under it is a blessing for us. The order is: God is the head of Christ, Christ is the head of the man, and the man is the head of the woman. But be careful, this will work only if none of the bonds are broken (1 Cor. 11:3)” (Daily Food, Book 5, Week 2, Wednesday, p. 28).
