- If we diligently listen to the word of the Lord and keep His covenant, He will make us His particular possession, His special treasure. We will be a kingdom in which everyone serves God and lives by His holy life. We do not need to make great efforts to change our behavior; it is the word that will do this work (Ex 19:5-6).
- God knows man, He knows that if we only listen to His word, it will not have any effect on us. We need to listen and instill the word of the Lord, speaking among ourselves, so that it is engraved in our hearts. It is also necessary that we practice the word (Dt 6:1-7).
- Immersion in the Word is a gift that God has given us, and it has helped us to instill the Word. In this way, the Word of the Lord has been imprinted, engraved in our hearts, through repetitions, through the practice of transcription, of falling asleep listening to the Word, and through war cries (Dt 6:6-7; Eph 5:18-19; Is 42:13).
- “The impurities of our hearts are revealed in trials, and God is able to remove them and transform us. Let us therefore be grateful to Him. Even though we suffer, we can rejoice, for the Lord purifies us to make us partakers of His glory” (1 Pet 1:6-9; 4:13) (Daily Food, Book 6, Week 1, Wednesday, p. 12).
