DAILY IMMERSION IN THE PROPHETIC WORD Wednesday | Msg. 17 – The Replacement of Leadership in Jerusalem Due to Pressure from the Jews

  1. God’s purpose was not limited to just Jerusalem, Judea, or Samaria. But God has in mind that the church, those who live the church life, will be His witnesses, and will spread throughout the earth. The church is not limited to just the Jews who have believed but also includes all the Gentiles who have believed in the Lord (Acts 1:8; Col. 3:11; 1 Cor. 12:13).

  1. Peter never brought up things from the dispensation of the law. The death and resurrection of Christ was the main theme of his preaching, because from that point on everything changes: from the dispensation of the law to the dispensation of faith. Whoever believes in the name of Jesus is part of the dispensation of grace and participates in the power of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:22-24; 4:12).

  1. We need to maintain the constancy of the power of the Holy Spirit daily. The way is to persevere, not to live on peaks obtained from some special episodes, such as the day of Pentecost, when God granted His Spirit in an extraordinary way. But it must be something constant by persevering in the fellowship of the word of the apostles. For this, God has given us tools today, such as immersion in the word and war cries (Acts 2:42; Dt 6:6-7).

  1. “We have died with Christ and have been set free from the law and from the slavery of sin; we are no longer subject to it. How wonderful (Rom 7:4)! Now we belong to Christ!” (Gal 2:19-20; 1 Cor 6:19-20) (Daily Food, Book 1, Sem. 3, Wednesday, p. 48).
