DAILY IMMERSION IN THE PROPHETIC WORD Wednesday | Msg. 34 – The Death of Abraham and the Descendants of Isaac

1. Isaac became heir to his father’s wealth not through merit, but through the grace of God. We know that Abraham believed God’s words, and it was accounted to him as righteousness (Romans 4:18 22).

2. Isaac merely inherited Abraham’s blessing. That is grace. That is how we receive everything from God. We do not serve God or love Him because we deserve it or because we have done something good for the Lord, but because we receive everything from God by grace (1 Corinthians 15:10).

3. Isaac was considered the only heir, the only son; and Christ is the Only Begotten of the Father. Jesus said, “All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore, I said that He [the Spirit] will take of Mine and will declare it to you.” If Christ considers us as brothers, we receive everything the Father has given Him. Therefore, if we want something from God, we need to go to Christ, the Son (John 16:14 15).

4. “When we are filled with Christ, we no longer live by human logic, and our thoughts are taken captive unto the obedience of Christ: “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled”. (2 Corinthians 10:4-6) (Daily Food, book 5, week 2, Wednesday, pp. 27-28).
