1. If anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation. Thanks be to God, we are in Christ, and in Him, we share in the resurrection—not only the resurrection, but also the ascension! Christ was exalted to the right hand of God; and in Christ Jesus, we are also seated in the heavenly places. Therefore, we set our minds on the things above, seek the things that are above. When Christ appears, we will appear with Him in glory. Let us, therefore, remain in this reality (2 Cor. 5:17; Col. 3:1-4).
2. God’s beginning is male and female. He preserved the animals in Noah’s ark, male and female, so that they would reproduce, multiply, and fill the Earth. The ark rested on the mountains of Ararat, which represent the resurrection of Christ, for after death comes resurrection. Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so that we too might walk in newness of life (Gen. 7:2-3; 8:4; Rom. 6:4).
3. After the floodwaters receded, Noah released a raven. The raven feeds on carrion. There was no point in releasing the dove, because it does not feed on corpses. The sinful nature that Satan injected into man delights in death. When a negative word comes, we must not listen as if we love death. Those who serve the Lord must flee from death. We are not ravens, but doves (Gen. 8:5-7; Rom. 7:18; Num. 6:6-9).
4. “We are so happy and excited because we are seeing this army forming. That is why we cannot stop. The Lord finally has hope to accomplish His will, and He is using us to do it. What a privilege to be a part of this work!” (Psalm 110:1-3) (Daily Food, book 1, week 1, Saturday, p. 19).
