DAILY IMMERSION IN THE PROPHETIC WORD Thursday | Msg. 20 – God’s Covenant with Noah

1. It’s important to understand that every sinner, including us, can only stand before God because blood was shed. It’s not through one’s own accomplishments that a sinner approaches God, but exclusively through this sacrifice. After the fall, the human spirit lost its primary function: connecting with God. This connection can only be restored through the shed blood (Heb. 9:22).

2. In the garden, Man enjoyed God’s constant presence and walked with Him at all times. God gave him direction, and his actions were motivated by His word. However, after the fall, man became governed by his conscience. God kept this part of the human spirit active, albeit in a limited way. He preserved the conscience so that it could question man’s thoughts whenever something was wrong (Romans 2:14-15).

3. After the flood and the departure of the ark, God transferred responsibility for governing humanity to man, delegating authority over other human beings to Noah. In granting this authority, God warned Noah that He would not permit the shedding of human blood, for man was created in the image of God. Thus, the first rule was established for Noah, marking a significant change in the form of government: Noah began to exercise authority over men (Gen. 9:5-6; Rom. 13:1).

4. “Everything was made beautifully and at the right time. But man does not understand and cannot discover why God created things. […] We were created to possess God’s glory. God did not create us just to have a good life on Earth. The fall of man imposed the bondage of corruption on all creation. On the other hand, our glorification will set it free (Eccl. 3:11; 1 Cor. 2:7)” (Daily Food, book 1, week 2, Thursday, p. 29).
