DAILY IMMERSION IN THE PROPHETIC WORD Thursday | Fellowship in Ocala

1. Through the Word, God created the universe; however, for the glorious church to be built, a slow and gradual process is necessary. We are part of this process. We still carry the old man, and as long as it exists within us, it will continue to influence and corrupt us. Therefore, daily we need to put off the old man. It is up to us to choose to clothe ourselves with Christ (Ephesians 4:22-24).

2. For God to build up Christ’s helper, the key is our mind: it needs to be renewed by the Spirit. Our mind possesses the power of decision. If we place it on the flesh, the result is death; but if we choose to place it on the Spirit, there is life and peace. This choice presents itself before us every day, at every moment (Ephesians 4:22-24; Rom 8:5-6).

3. How does our spiritual life grow? When, day by day, we set our minds on the Spirit, immersing ourselves in the Word, diligently listening to the Lord’s words, carrying out His command, proclaiming the Word, and cooperating in the building up of the church, we are choosing life. Thus, it becomes impossible for our spiritual life not to grow (Deuteronomy 30:19; Romans 8:6).

4. “We are engaged in a spiritual war. This is very serious! On one hand, God wants to use us to establish His kingdom on Earth; on the other, the devil wants to thwart God’s plans by corrupting humanity through its sinful nature. To avoid being deceived and harmed by the enemy, the solution is to walk with God and follow His word closely.” (Ephesians 6:12,17) (Daily Food, book 4, week 4, Thursday, p. 65).
