1. The church is the kingdom of heaven, where heaven rules. It is the heavenly territory. God desires to make Christ the Head over all things, both those in heaven and those on Earth—and this will occur through the church. First, the church will be headed up by Christ; then, God will use us as a platform to head up all things (Ephesians 1:9-10, 22-23).
2. We are in the process of building up the church, allowing Christ to head us up. I no longer rule myself; I belong to Christ. My actions, my mind, my emotion, and my will need, little by little, to be transformed. Jacob was transformed by the word of God and through the circumstances he passed through (Matthew 16:18; Galatian 2:20; Genesis 32:28).
3. How many Christians desire to live comfortably, saying: “Christ is everything to me, He is this for me, He is that for me”. However, God wants us to rise us up as pillars to assume responsibility in His house, for the building up of His house. God needs us. Let us return to Bethel and assume our responsibility (Gen 28:18; 31:13).
4. “Abraham became a man of many possessions, however, according to the letter written to the Hebrews, he did not set his heart on material things. […] This material issue is still a test for many children of God. Therefore, stay alert: if your money and your goods do not dominate you, as they did not dominate Abraham, you will also be approved by God” (Heb 11:8-10) (Daily Food, book 6, week 3, Tuesday, p. 46).
